Community Sensitization: The program will involve community sensitization programs that will ensure that the communities are educated on the need for living in peace within themselves and different communities.

Community peace mobilization: This will involve mobilization of people living in the area that the organization operates to embrace peace and to be involved directly in the peace management process.

Youth involvement in Peace Building: Under the peace programs the organization will develop effective programs that will ensure that the youth are involve in the peace building process as the organization recognizes their role in maintaining peace and order.

CHEERS Kenya works to enable communities address the underlying causes of violence and to build meaningful peace at grassroots level. We also participates in conflict resolution activities and still meet regularly on the ongoing community peace-building meetings

What began in 1991 in Northern Kenya as an initiative to bridge the communication and trust gap between the government and communities is now an approved policy framework; a framework that will encourage stakeholders across the country who are working on peacebuilding initiatives to adopt a collaborative approach towards conflict prevention, management and resolution. CHEERS Kenya is on the move towards this achievement.
