Community Health Environment and Education Resource Centre (CHEERS) is a community based organization run by young people who have a passion to prevent or reduce the suffering that community members under go in slums area. It was formed in 2014, but registered in 2015 basically to address issues related to disasters in slums, education attainment environment degradation and general public health.
The young people in this organization engage in various voluntary activities like opening trenches to prevent floods during rainy season, visiting schools and teaching children how to act during any disasters.
Our mission is to enhance communities’ socio- economic development by maintaining comprehensive data base on: family planning, environmental issues, disaster management, education attainment safe motherhood, economic development and poverty eradication.
The vision of the organization is to be a leader in improving and enabling community members access their basic needs and wants.
